Quick Update

Just wanted to let you all know that I’m not including everyone from the month of January in my little update system. Just wanted to remind you, if you have not updated since March 18th (one week), then you shall be asterisked. You have until March 32th (one week), to update. Good Luck!
EDIT: New queuees, Ruolin from Kyohaku and Jay from NReluctant

P.S. I am now bringing February into this. Please check the queue list. It’ll tell you everything you need to know about whether you need to update or not. Rules above apply. OH, and if you see a double question mark in front of your name, that means I’m unsure of your status. Just update, come off hiatus, or whatever and I’ll start reviewing. Also, IF YOU ARE ASTERISKED, I WILL SKIP YOU IN QUEUE. This is just to be fair to everyone else who applied and update regularly. So UPDATE!

When I first see your site, the color palette is pleasing, but there are a few things that don’t strike me as . . . appealing. The background hits the header at a strange place. The stripes should probably go the entire height of the header. But then again, I’m not sure this layout was created by you, I see you edited it, but I’m not sure whether you had a hand in that or not, so I’m not going to dwell on it. Besides that the layout is professional and interesting, two of my favorite adjectives for layouts. The only other thing I could suggest is that you could perhaps have a divider between the content and the navigation, maybe just a partial gray line. But that’s not huge. I especially like the shadowing and the font choice. I’m not sure you could have chosen a better font, it’s great. The links on the footer is also really good, I always enjoy those. Now, because there’s not a lot to critique on your layout, I’ll just move straight to your content!

At first, your site looks disjointed. The graphics are nice, but not drop-dead gorgeous. The scroll bar is extremely annoying, and the lack of separation between header and content is strange. It seems like a lot of dead space. You definitely want to cut down on the number of updates you keep on the front page. It just makes the whole site look unprofessional. I would say two, three at most on the front page. Definitely keep a link to the other updates, but only have two on the front. The non-traditional nav can sometimes be a good thing, but not in this situation. The faded links are hard to notice, and I was confused for a minute what to do. Affiliates belong on the nav, not in the center, and always do the dignity of giving your affiliates names, not boxes. I would drop you like a fly if I saw myself represented by a box. Anyway, onwards.
